So nervous

I went in for my 8 week visit today. When they did the ultrasound they couldn't find a heartbeat. They told me I could have ovulated late and I'm not actually 8 weeks. I am going back next week for another ultrasound. This is my first pregnancy and I'm soooo scared. Has anyone else had this happen? What was the outcome?
