Baby Nala Noelle Bridges
Okay, so...post will be long but wanted to share my successful birth story with other ftm who are still waiting to deliver! Baby girl came on Jan 16 at 5:44pm she was 9lbs, 1oz- vaginal delivery. I did tear and have some stitches. I ad noooo signs of labor being imminent. I was up for my routine trip to the bathroom at 4 am. I thought "I've been peeing for a long time" lol thought it was because I held for as long as I could so I could stay comfortable in bed. I leaned forward to get toilet paper and I remember feeling 1 last big kick. I paid it no mind. Walked back to the bedroom and stopped like " I know I'm not peeing on myself" it wasn't a hush just a slight trickle. I put my hand down there and there was a little blood and fluid when I wiped. From there I immediately felt contractions a two minutes apart. Went to l&d via ambulance. I was not 2cm when they checked me in triage. Contractions got MUCH STRONGER by the time I was in the birthing suite. I wound up getting an epidural which wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. It only hurt because they have it to me while I was still contracting and you can't move once they stick you. But around 10am they checked me I dilated every hour to 10cm which is when I finally got to push. They gave me pitocin to get contractions a little stronger so baby could move down a bit further. She never really dropped beforehand. They let me start pushing her down to get her in position. About 30 pushes later I had a big blob of baby on my chest lol. I had no idea she came out! And I couldn't really see anything. I felt her on my chest and immediately lost it. I was so amazed that she came! She is now in NICU due to breathing too fast, is a little jaundice and had some traces of pneumonia so they wanted to give her antibiotics over seven days. But even it being Day 3, she is doing just fine and progressing well. I really don't know if it had ANYTHING to do with it but I did take a warm bath Sunday night to relax my pelvic pain. I was NOT trying to self induce. And again had literally no symptoms after. I was relaxed and when to bed lol.
