Went to my regularly appointment yesterday. I'm 38+2 weeks. I had been having painful contractions but they weren't close enough for me to go and be seen so I'd been just trying to control them at home. So while at the Dr office, the nurse could tell I was in pain so I had to get my cervix checked. The NP had an intern with her. So I had gotten checked by the NP and the intern. The NP sent me to L&D. I was 2cm 90% effaced and cervix still high but the pain of the contractions made me feel like I was going to burst. The nurse in L&D checked me too. Same outcome. 5 hours later, 2 IV bags, and another cervical check, no change. Still contracting with pain. Reason I got sent home was because I wasn't in "active" labor. I got checked 4 times. And two of those times were very uncomfortable. So next thing is to get this girl to drop because mama is is pain
