when did you first drive alone with your baby??

I'm a single mom, I have some help in the form of my stepdad but he's not always available and I need to get to the grocery store, medical appointments, etc... my baby is 4 days old and I'm terrified of leaving home just me and him. Anyone else drive just them and their babies so early?

Sheesh since the day I left the hospital. Single parent and I'm not waiting for anybody!

A big factor in postpartum depression is isolating yourself. You need to get out and about. Start small. My first outing alone with baby was taking us to breakfast literally down the street from my house. Then I started going further and further. I drove at times where I knew the streets would be busy with traffic. Then one day, I was comfortable enough to drive anywhere and everywhere!

Our first solo trip when she was three weeks old - only bc my husband had the first two weeks off

3 days old to her doctors appointment. Just drive safe. It's important to get out of the house when needed.

I finally went on my own,  with my daughter yestarday. ..she's 13 weeks old. But that's only because she screams in her car seat the entire time she's in it. ..has she not done that,  I would be in the driver seat from day one,  instead of having to sit in the back seat with her and try to calm her down as my fiance drives..
