Am I having contractions? FTM

So lately I've been having inconsistent pain. I never had Braxton Hicks or anything my pregnancy so I'm not sure what contractions feel like. Sometimes I'll have this brief shooting pain in my lower back that feels like I've just been stabbed and it lasts for a minute then goes away
