How to relieve painful period cramps?

Im 28 years old, So I had my period for along time but I got it today and it's been so painful! I tried heating pad, Tylenol and other pain relievers and nothing works I thinks it's extra bad this month because I'm switching birth control. Help! Please share your remedys!!

So sorry! I feel for you. I've had horrible cramps for the past few years....have tried everything and they're so bad that nothing works. But try Aleve! Or Motrin. They work for most people! 
Definitely use a heating pad and get into comfortable clothes. Drink lots of water as well.  Feel better!

Have you tried a hot bath? Sometimes the hot baths help way more then a heating pad. Also the only pain reliever that helps me if midol.

On a scale of 1-10 my periods a 8.5556789 .lmbo but I use Aleve its work so far I Also use a heating pad. Sometimes Ice. Eat something with potassium Like bananas. Naked juice(green machine) helps also if you feel like you can't eat.

I have the same kind of painful periods. Especially worse this month but here's a piece of advice : don't drink sodas or coffee a few days before getting your period. Caffeine adds to cramps. I know yesterday I had a huge craving for coke I usually don't drink soda and today I woke up with my period I knew I was in for it. And I also drank coffee. So I pretty much set my self up. Try to avoid caffeine and see if it helps. My doctor also recommended taking a inbprofin a week before everyday a week before -- I have irregular so I never know when it comes. First timer with glow it seem to have known my period came today haha I didn't believe it well good luck ! I can't live without midol also but not very effective on the first day.

Try taking some midol then drink a beer or two (not enough to get drunk or buzzed). My mom figured this out and then told me about it and it's literally the only thing that will get rid of my horrible cramps.
