bleach over hair that's been dyed brown?

My hair is naturally black, and I have added some brown ombré to it. However I am trying to blonde so if I put bleach over the already brown dyed pieces, how will it come out

So, if you have black hair and want to go blonde. It will take several attempts to get you out of the orange/brassy phase. I wouldn't recommend doing yourself unless you can buy professional products (professional only store) and understand toners and the levels of bleaching that it takes to get black to blonde. I do hair, it took a few sessions of getting my friend who has black hair out of the brassy, we didn't rush it in order to keep the integrity of her hair.

I have bleached and dyed my hair multiple times. My hair is naturally a dark brown and I have made tons of mistakes, so please don't make this mistake okay!

Dying over black is fine however it's hard to see unless you've bleached it first. However, bleaching black hair turns your hair ORANGE. So, that means you will have to bleach it multiple times in order to get your hair a nice light yellow, and then after that you will have to dye/tone over it to get it blonde.

This means it will cause extreme damage to your hair. I know you have probably heard it time and time again but I severely damaged my hair about 4 months back and it's still not healthy. I had pink hair which I wanted back brown so I had to bleach the already-faded pink colour, tone it and dye it. And after bleaching and dying it lots beforehand my hair felt like straw afterwards. It was stiff as I was washing the brown dye out and chunks of it was falling out. And when I had dryed it off afterwards it was the frizziest I have ever seen it (my hair is straight so normally doesn't go frizzy). It was so bad I almost looked homeless.

After a few washes the frizziness went away but overall, after all the work I'd done to my hair, it ended up thinner and finer and I still struggle with the straw-like feel now.

So it's up to you whether you want to try it, but I went blonde once as well and it looked awful on me anyway. I wish I hadn't done it. It really is up to you overall, but really do think about it first as the upkeep is very hard and you will definitely damage your hair.

If you just bleach your hair it will more then likely go very orange and become very brittle I know people that have made this very mistake to go blonde brim dark is a gradual thing.
