Copper IUD?

Hormonal birth control just totally throws my body off and makes me sick so I'm considering the copper IUD. Can anyone tell my what their experiences were like?

I've only had mine since early December but I love it so far, my period is a little heavier but it was pretty light in the first place so it's nbd.

I just suggest the paragard to one of my close friends. I had it for 3 years and I loved it. The strings took a little bit to get use to for me and my boyfriend. Over all I had a good experience. I did feel bloated for the first couple months but it went away.
