Changes at work because I have no children

I just need to vent a little. This week I was told by my boss that I have to change my hours to an earlier time because I don't have kids. Those people with children are allowed the flexibility to keep the schedule we've had for years, but I have no choice.

So now, when my alarm goes off early (I am not a morning person at all), the first thought in my head is "This is happening because I'm childless." and it sets an awful tone for my whole day.

I already spent too much time sad about the fact that I don't have kids, and this just makes it so much worse.
