Twin possibility?

We are TTC #2.... my mother in law is a twin. And my dad had twin brothers. Anyone have twins even though it ran in their "in-laws" side...? I've heard it's only passed down through the moms genes. What are our chances?!

Fraternal twins have a genetic link only on mom's side. Identical twins are pure chance.

I know my husband has twins that run on his side of his moms family and my father was a twin and twins run on my moms side of my family too but I haven't gotten hit with the twin gene yet lol

What type of twins? Only fraternal (non look alike) are genetic. My husband is a fraternal twin, and my mom is an identical twin. I'm also TTC #2 and twins are constantly on my mind lately...

My MIL is a twin and my grandma was one. I'm about 6 weeks now and starting to wonder if it's twins.
