how do you have more than one kid??

I Know it sounds dumb but seriously ... My 9 month old still nurses every 2 hours and won't sleep without me. He's super sick right now so I've spent all day rocking him or napping with him. All I can think is, how do people do this if they have a toddler running around?! I feel like either I'll have to  neglect my son to care for a new baby, or that the new baby won't get nearly as much attention as my son did. Any thoughts or advice?

I have 4 kids. 11 yo 7 yo 5 yo and 3 week old. The biggest trick is to wait till they are at least fully potty trained before next. I raised my first 3 while being a single mother. Now I'm happily married to the father of my 3 week old. It does get hard at times. Sometimes I feel bad because I can't enroll all of them in extra activities with conflicting schedules. Like the oldest wants karate, my only girl 7 wants tumbling lessons, and my 5 year old wants football. Among other things. I myself try to spend larger lumps of money we receive ie tax check, work bonuses, stuff like that to get family memberships to get all kids out of the house to run off some energy. Like amusement park, local hands on museum, local zoo. That helps keep their energy at bay. I make sure to leave other kids with a loved one and spend time once a week with each child alone. As they all meed to know that there may be 4 but momma loves them and does care for them. Its rough but you get used to it quickly, and almost think "why was I so stressed with just one lol" you gotta remember that the benefits and ur love for each of them overpower the weight on your shoulders. The best part about it, is at times I am still able to relax as they have siblings to bug amd play with. Not saying rush to have another, just saying once your there, you wouldnt want it any other way.

I have 6 children 3 boys 3 girls, and a baby on the way.. A little girl also!  In my opinion it just comes natural! The kids understand when mommy has to put more into the baby then them for the time being. I try to give them all of my attn during my pregnancy so they don't feel so left out and they feel more involved before the baby comes which makes it easier.  & now that I have all of my other 6 children they're really good helpers I've taught them to be more responsible so they help out Alot around the house and are learning to cook certain things for themselves so they feel like the Big Brothers /Big Sisters that they should when the Lil one arrives.  They just all feel so involved before and after baby is born!  It just feels so easy to me maybe because I've done it time after time but it's a Maternal thing and I am so Happy to have all of my Lil ones and big ones together for this Huge life experience.  It's nice to be able to get them prepared for their own when they are older and they start having their own children.  So they can see the ups and downs,  good days and bad. It will help them grow and have a better understanding of what certain parts of life are about and make their decision as to whether they want to be parents or not before hand. For my girls I believe it is the Best thing I can teach them.  True life events to teach them about pregnancy and having a child so they don't make bad choices early on or too many mistakes , because they're learning from mine.  So all in all its a nurturing experience and it all comes natural it's like you create that routine before baby is born and things should be pretty simple once the Lil one Arrives. Maybe not a walk in the park because there will be setbacks but take it day by day is my advice.😊😊🎀🌹

My first 3 kids are all 3 yrs apart and each was potty trained before the next was born so it was actually pretty easy.  They are now 7, 10, and 13. I'm due with my last bundle in march so it's going to be pretty nice to only have one small child in the house.

I'm 21 and have a nearly 3 year old, a 17 month old, a 6 month old and I'm 10+4 weeks pregnant. Believe me it's difficult at times especially when they're poorly and want attention 24/7 but it is fun too. My oldest 2 just chill with each other my 6 month old like relaxing in his rocker chair

It's intense, but we make do. The first week out of the hospital, after having my second, was exhausting. A friend came over every morning, to pick up my toddler, and brought him back, ready for lunch & tired. The women in my community provide families with meals every night for a few weeks. Some women swap babysitting. Today my best friend watched my children as I went to my prenatal appointment. Personally my biggest help is my husband. Our daughter is sick right now. Even after a long day at the office, my husband made dinner, and put our son to bed while I took care of our daughter. ❤👣

My first was 3 before I even considered having another. Then we tried for a little while before succeeding so they are 4 1/2 years apart. It is wonderful! She LOVES her little brother and is so sweet to him and if he's under the weather she can get herself a snack and a color book and it's not a problem
