anyone had inflamed kidneys while being pregnant?

I've been in hospital all day with the most un-barable pain! I also just finished having a stomach virus & my gp thought I had kidney stones , turns out both my kidneys are very inflamed! I won't take anything besides panadole!

Any advice on what to do ? How to lay? What to drink and eat?

I was in hospital for 2days for a brutal kidney infection and paracetamol didn't do anything plus anything I took orally would just come back up. I also had a mass of sludge in my gallbladder but that fixed itself. It had to have everything via IV line and didn't eat for those 2days cause of the pain on the first day (I couldn't even sit) and was possibly having surgery on my appendix but it wasn't needed. 
As long as you get treated and do your course of antibiotics, you should be ok. It's common for it to happen and I had no symptoms what so ever.

I have the exact problem only I have 1 kidney so they've put me down as a "high risk" pregnancy and every week I have to go in so that I can get a sonogram done and make sure it doesn't get too inflamed since it's the only one basically keeping us alive lol. Anyways - Tylenol helps for the pain, also heating pad will comfort the achyness. If you're like me, and not very fond of water, JUICE. Grape juice, apple juice, cranberry juice, just make sure you are constantly drinking some type of liquid but not with so much sugar like sodas. And well laying down I'm not sure. Since I only have one kidney I'd lay on my opposite side to take the weight off. Maybe placing a small pillow on your lower back with a heating pad.? That's a toughie since it's both kidneys. And trust me, I know your pain love. It's scary at first and you just wanna get into a ball while holding your sides. You'll get through it momma bear. Good luck.!

Just commenting to come back with a tip. My mom has always had that & kidney stones but she would take some kind of drink that she would make and after that she has never ever had kidney problems I swear !
