Monday Morning Parable
One morning, a young woman fell into a deep ditch. “Help!” she yelled, and soon got the attention her town’s mayor passing by. He looked down at her predicament and assured her that he would work to get that ditch filled in as soon as possible and hurried on his way.
Then, as chance would have it, her doctor strolled by. Again, she asked for help. Her doctor was very concerned. “Is anything broken? Does anything hurt?” she asked. “Not really,” the young woman said, “But I am stuck down here!” Sorry, the doctor replied, there is not much I can do about that, and she went on her way.
Soon thereafter, the young woman spotted her boss walking by. And yet again she asked for help. He looked down on her and said not to worry, because he would make sure she still had a job whenever she got out of that ditch. Then, he too left.
At this point, the young woman felt hopeless. She resigned herself to spending the night in that cold ditch. But, then her sister found her.
“Stand back,” her sister said, and jumped into the ditch.
“What are you doing?” the young woman asked incredulously. “Now we are BOTH stuck in this horrible ditch.”
“Yes,” said her sister, “but I’ve been stuck in this ditch before, and I know the way out….”

Thank you to all our sisters who choose to jump in to this "ditch" and share of themselves and their journey so as to help others and ease their path. You have no idea the impact you make.
