I worked at the home office for a while and I have two grandmas that work for them--one has been in a payroll office for 35 years and the other is a big-wig over at the Sam's Home Office. What I've heard about working in the stores from friends is that it pretty much just all-around sucks. The thing with Wal-Mart is that you either love it or hate it. It totally depends on your personality and your boss. There are so many different opportunities but it's very easy to get "stuck". I grew up in "Wal-Mart country" {the town over is where the HO is} and I always knew I never wanted to work for them. Three months in a position and that was definitely confirmed. I was just miserable.
