Does it bother anyone else when people call their babies their king or queen? I just feel like they are going to grow up with some kind of complex thinking they are the ruler of the household.

It's just a term of endearment, it's not meant to be taken literally. I call my husband "baby", but I have yet to see him walk around with a diaper on his butt and a bottle in his mouth.

No more than someone calling them princess or prince and many do.. it's not that big of deal. I highly doubt that calling them a queen, they will think they ARE one and act as such. .. u are MOMMY'S AND DADDY'S QUEEN..

We call our girl princess right now but she is only 1. It won't last for long though because I don't like older kids being called any of those terms. Though I don't like king or queen at all but that's just my personal preference.

I think this post is being understood two different ways. When you say call them king or queen, do you mean ad their legal name or just as a nickname? I believe there is some confusion.
