How long should I bleed after getting my mirena? I've been bleeding for a week and a couple days this is also my first period since having a baby. I just don't know if it's excessive or normal. I got my IUD put in on the third and I started bleeding around the 11 or 12 and have been bleeding since.

It's normal for sure, my friend had her period for a month after she got hers, it will stop don't worry!

Bleeding is normal! for every girl it's different! about 4 weeks after getting mine i started bleeding and bled for 32 days 😭

Some women will still menstruate as normal, or with a lighter flow, there is no guarantee that the Mirena will get rid of periods, full stop (pardon the pun haha)! It all depends on how your own body reacts.
