Thinking of having a lotus birth....who is doing or thinking of it?

I'm wanting to try having a lotus birth with my 6th baby. I just recently heard of this technique and feels it would be a great experience for both me and baby.
Has anyone done this technique? If so how was it? Were you able to hold baby directly after or will they and placenta be put in another area? How was babies health afterwards?

Please no unpleasant comments. I see that way to much on here. As my mother always said if you have nothing nice to say say nothing at all. Thanks😁

I'm not familiar but I just googled it & read the 1st thing I saw. So you push out the placenta with the baby, keep them attached until it falls off?? Or do you keep it inside of you until it falls out, attached to the baby? I like what it said about spiritual awakening but I don't fully understand it. Can you make those accommodations? Are you ok with that kind of stuff? I'm all for natural but I'm also queasy and easily grossed out by blood, germs, flesh etc. I'd love to hear your perspective!

I've made a couple posts about this because it's what I intend to do. I've heard a couple horror stories of hospitals not allowing it to happen. I've already hit a road block with my hospital, insofar as their policy on recording the birth. My husband will be deployed at the time so I dunno, maybe we'll have to Skype him. But who knows if he's working at the time. But I haven't asked about the lotus birth yet and if I'm told I'm not allowed I'm leaning towards a home birth.

I think that ultimately what you are most comfortable with is best. Don't decide based on what others tell you or you might regret it. 
Personally I think it's really weird to do and if my mom had done that with me I would've thought that was embarrassing or something. Plus, it doesn't seem that there is proof of too many benefits coming from it. In fact, there's more risk to infection because there's blood in the placenta. They say that leaving it for three hours is probably the best amount of time. Read this  article. And do some good research from reliable sites! Good luck! 🙃
