Back surgery

Hey guys I'm new on here. I started cause my husband and I were going to try for baby number two then we found out I had to have a spinal fusion. It has been six weeks since my surgery. My doctor said I would probably have to wait 6 to 12 months to 12 months to get pregnant. Has anyone else had this surgery and then went through pregnancy afterwards? How long did you wait? Any thoughts or experiences would be greatly appreciated. I'm pushing 31 and I'm freaking out that I'm getting too old!
