What to expect after Methotrexate shot for ectopic?

I had my first scan after IUI #1 yesterday and found out it was an ectopic :( It was the first ever BFP I got, I was so hopeful. Since my hcg levels were still low enough to medically terminate it I was given the Methotrexate shot (90ml), then and there, and I'm seeing my ObGyn in 4 days for follow up tests.

What should I expect? Pain? I was having a few cramps but nothing unbearable. I know there's a risk of the tube rupturing and internal bleeding 😖

So sorry for your loss! When I had my ectopic last year they gave me MTX shot and my hcg was about 4,000. I didn't have any pain or bleeding at all, then following week my hcg was still slowly rising so they gave me another shot which my hcg went up to 8,000 which Dr said it was normal after receiving the 2nd shot. Right after that 2 days later I was in so much pain, like period cramping to the 1000 power lol then next thing I know I passed a huge clots and I started bleeding a lot. I bled for about 2 weeks after that and my level didn't reach to 0 for about 2 months which sucks really bad because I had to do blood drawn every 3 days. Overall I'm just thanking God my tubes were saved and I'm now 19 weeks pregnant with a healthy baby boy. So good luck, take your time to heal. Praying for fast recovery.

I had a few days of bleeding and needed to get multiple shots (had two ectopics). I was tired but that may have been from not sleeping and crying quite a bit too.  It wasn't awful for me, physically.

Mine had to be surgically removed. My right tube was not save-able so they took that out too. Recovery was the worst. Good luck, the ectopic was the worst thing I've had to deal with in my life.
