I wrote this on Facebook a few days ago. Everyday I see someone who I looked up to putting others down and it honestly makes my heart ache. These are people whose opinions I used to value. But now I just can't.

"I've lost a lot of respect for many people because of the election. Not because of who they voted for, I don't care about that, but because of how they are treating other people over who they voted for. They're shaming and calling people names because of who they voted for or the political party they're associated with. It's disappointing to see people who you had so much respect for lower themselves to such levels. And it's not just from one side. I have seen it from both sides. It's sickening that so many of you could be so trashy and ugly towards others who have a different opinion, especially when you're someone who has preached to people to think outside the box and be different. Apparently you only believe that when they think like you do though."
