labor bag and hospital bag??

Question

Do I need two separate bags? Friends and the hospital suggested bringing two... one for just labor with minimal items and then your other bag with everything else for when you are in your recovery/regular room.  Just trying to get it figured out! Any help or suggestions appreciated!

I don't know if anything that you would need before versus after that couldn't go in the same bag. Labor you literally just laying there progressing.. no in wouldn't bring two bags. I did bring my bag and the baby bag but I kept that in the car.

I am taking 1 bag with stuff for me and hubby, diaper bag with baby's things, and pillows.

Don't know why you'd bring two. You're going to go straight from the labor room to the post partum room and you'll just be dragging two bags with you. And it'll be off to the side during labor, not like you have to carry it around with you lol. Just bring one and make your life easy

I just took one last time, and that's what I'll do again. There is no point in packing two because then someone just has to go get it from the car or wherever. Everything we take to the hopsital, including things for hubby, will be in that bag.

I personally just bring 1 bag with mine, my hubbys and baby's stuff in it. I don't want to keep sending my husband out for things, plus I never really use much of anything during labor except maybe my phone charge.

I plan on laboring mostly at home but I will be bring a labor bag, baby bag and hospital bag with me.

I just bring one for myself (everything), baby, and husband. However, there is plenty of room in our birthing suites to unload our bags (i.e. drawers and armoire with hangers). I think it might be helpful if you have to keep your bags packed while in the hospital to have a separate bag for L&D then another for after.

My hospital recommendations 2 bags (non-US so they provide nothing you even need to bring the clothes you labor in 😶 and you have a shower before going to your room so you need clothes in the labor bag and clothes for the baby).
The more I thought about it, that meant splitting most things in half between 2 bags which seemed silly. I decided to to just put everything in one bag. My carry on is one of those hard shell spinners so it has 2 compartments and I'll use packing cubes to keep everything organized.
