what is your experience with birth control helping or not? Please give me your honest feedback

Answer

NO. All birth control STOP you from ovulating to prevent pregnancy. On the pill you do get a period but it's a "fake" period in the sense you didn't ovulate and you're not getting rid of the ovum, only the lining of your uterus through period blood. As a woman with PCOS, not ovulating regularly (or ever) is our main problem. This is what causes our ovarian cysts. Our goal is to ovulate, not prevent it even further by going on birth control. A bad doctor won't want to deal with you and just put you on birth control knowing it's doing nothing for your fertility issues. A good doctor will explain how pcos works and look for ways to improve your fertility or correct your PCOS

It didn't help me and I refused the fertility meds. I gave up on trying to regulate my cycles and just pray for the best every month.
