BirthMark????

Question

Does anyone know what this might be? He's 3weeks old and he didn't have it when he was born, its feels soft and a bit bumpy but it doesn't bother him at all when we touch it. I'm just want some ideas of what it might be but either way he'll go for his month check up next Monday

I'm an esthetician, that Mark is called a strawberry hemangioma. If you google it you can learn all about them.

My 21 month has one. It is a birth mark and it will fade away. Hers is barely noticeable. It is on her back and her pediatrician told us to see a dermatologist so we did. He was not concerned about it.

Looks like a strawberry birth mark to me! My daughters appeared about a week after she was born she had one under chin and one on her wrist. Got told they would fade by time she goes to school she is almost 4 and they have faded a lot!

Just keep an eye on it because hemangiomas can ulcerate and need a little special care, but they are generally totally harmless and can fade on their own.

My daughter was born with one on her back it is a bitrh mark and she's now 4 and it has faded a lot.

My son has one on his arm. I had it checked out by a doctor under my midwifes instruction. It appeared around 2-3 days after he was born. It has grown and now at 3 months it has started to fade in the middle.
