Going back to being a vegetarian at 22 weeks!!!!
I feel so awful ladies. This is a prime example of why you should listen to yourself and not other people. Before I got pregnant I was a vegetarian for about 7 months. I absolutely loved it and I was on the way to becoming vegan. Well, when I first got pregnant I had every intention of staying vegetarian and my doctor was very supportive. Well! I started listening to other people, mainly coworkers. They kept telling me that the baby needs the meat and I won't get enough nutrients and yada yada. Being my first pregnancy and already very nervous, I caved and started eating meat again. I rarely ate beef but I would eat chicken sometimes. However, I would still eat mainly vegetarian!! I missed being a vegetarian and I have decided to make the switch back. Now, I will listen to myself and my doctor. As long as my doctor gives me a great bill of health, I will continue being a vegetarian. It was something that I loved and I gave it up because I decided to listen to other people!!!!! I feel so silly for doing that now but I'm very excited to going all veg again!!!
