breastfeeding essentials?👶🏽

I will be having my babygirl in march so I wanna be prepared in what I need to have to have a good breastfeeding expirence! What do you think are essential in having in your breastfeeding basket or on the go with you? TIA💕

100% when baby is here have baby checked by a doctor for tongue and lip ties. I had everything prepared, set myself up with all the stuff that others on this post have suggestef, and nothing prepared me for a tongue or lip tie. I didn't even know they existed until my baby was 6 weeks old already and my nipples had become cracked, those cracks reopened and bled every feeding, and I had huge dark red sores that were extremely raw. My poor nipples 😭. We got my son's lip tie snipped and it was a WORLD of difference in his latch. He couldn't flare his lip up pretty much at all. It took 79 days to heal and FINALLY have a pain-free nursing session.

Also a breast pump are good to have and nursing bras and cotton nipple pads. A good nursing pillow helps and patience lots of that. Mo caffeine or chocolate

Patience. Lots and lots of patience. And a friend who has been through nursing. 
As for stuff you can buy/get:
Breast pump
Comfy nursing tanks (I have 3 of one style that I've been living in for the past 7 weeks...)
Nursing pillow (I only use mine at night otherwise I just cross my legs)
Nipple cream (a lifesaver in the first few weeks)
Breast pads to help with leaking
A night light for nighttime feedings

Good luck!!! It's hard in the beginning. If you ever feel like giving up, give it a few weeks and see a lactation consultant

A nursing cover
Spend the money and get a good quality breastfeeding pillow. I cheaped out on mine and later regretted it and ended up spending the money on a better one.

Breastpump. Even if you don't plan on using a bottle you will still want to pump for numerous reason. (If your engorged, have been drinking, wanna keep milk supply up)

You will definitely want nipple pads so you don't leak through your clothes. You can buy a big box of disposable ones for cheap at wal mart. You can also buy re-usable cloth ones.

Good nursing bras. Seriously....you will be glad you did.

A good nipple cream. A lot of women get sore fracked nipples from breastfeeding so you may wanna look into creams.

Some women (usually those with small nipples) end up needing a nipple shield to help with a good match.  I would wait and see how it goes before you buy one. But keep it in mind.

Well education resources are good like lactation nurse. Most hospitals have them. Also since it's your 1st don't give up due to issues. Your nipples will be sore, cracked and possibly bleed but it's temporary. Most sore nipples are due to incorrect latch. Practice holds like with a fake baby or if you have a friend maybe s real baby. Know you aren't alone and it's gonna have ups and downs but its totally worth it.

Nipple butter! I started with earth mama angel baby. at first the nipples get really rough, cracked, sore etc. once they become normal again I'm using palmers coca butter nipple balm. Also, carry some breast pads! You never know when you'll start to leak!
