10 week old grabbing her ear?

Question

She's been tugging at and holding her left ear a lot, plus sleeping nearly all day and just wanting to cuddle and been extra fussy. She played a tiny bit but then wanted to nap again. She's also been sucking on her fingers but Idk if that has anything to do with it. 
She's eating fine, and her temp was normal. Could she just have discovered her ear and is fascinated with touching it? Or do you think it's hurting? I just thought if it were an infection that she'd have a fever or not be eating.

My six year old did that when he was a baby and my husband and I blew it off for a week went by and he was running a fever we took him to the er because we couldn't get it to break. Come to find out he had and ear infection. The doctor said he had it awhile because his ear drum ruptured. At two years old he ended up getting tubes because he had them so frequently. I would get it checked out. The only reason I remember this is because we noticed it Christmas Eve and ended up spending New Year's Eve in the er

I don't remember where I read it but when babies grab at their ears it could be a sign of teething my little one does the same thing !

My 10 week old just discovered his own hair and started grabbing it yesterday, so I'm guessing it's a developmental thing.

My lo is 12 weeks and has been doing the exact same thing he doesnt seem in pain..no fever so im guessing its just a phase
