after labor how did u feel?

Okay so I'm going to be a FTM and I'm due feb9! I was having so much anxiety about having my baby and then it went away and I got super excited and couldn't wait!! Now that time is approaching, I'm starting to feel nervous again. I'm not sure if I'm more nervous of going into labor or maybe taking care of a newborn or maybe both. But I'm getting nervous again and I know this is normal but do these feelings go away once u see ur bundle of joy? How did u ladies feel before and after your little one is born?! I just hope I don't feel nervous like this afterwards. I try not to think about it but I do

They told me I was being admitted to the hospital. I kept my cool for a little while then lost it when it was just me and my significant other. I was so nervous. But honestly it was by far the most amazing thing I've ever been through. It wasn't pretty though.😂  but I had amazing family around me and the most amazing nurses who coached me with every step. One thing you should ask for is to wait until baby has completely moved himself down.  I'm a first time mom and I pushed my LO out in 40 minutes. He came in weighing 8 pounds 5 ounces. I would 100% recommend an epidural and pushing it every chance you get so you don't feel "the ring of fire" I didn't feel a thing, people told me when to push so I pushed and that's all I focused on. Also when that time comes make sure you have ice chips in the room. I needed them between pushes!  Recovery hurts, don't be afraid to ask for medication. Having a new born is scary but honestly your motherly instincts will come out and you'll learn your baby's cries/ routine.

First time I thought I was in labor, I was terrified but after being in prodromal labor for 2 weeks and being sent home more than once, when they finally said admission, I was so excited. It was painful though so the first thing I said is call the epidural people 😅.
My son passed meconium as he came out and I had some excessive bleeding so they took him away to the side of the room to check him and my OB tended to me. I was surprisingly calm at that time. Dunno if it's the hormones or something else. When they got us to our room, it was a little bit surreal. I couldn't imagine that this little 8 lbs creature in mine. It felt as if I knew him forever. He was sleeping when I finally saw him but it was so cute when he calmed down and latched on my breast once I picked him up when he woke up.

I was nervous too. When I went to the hospital I wasn't even sure if I was in labor because my contractions weren't very painful but they admitted me because I was 4cm dilated. I was so calm through the whole thing except on the inside I was freaking out. Once I had my daughter the shock hit and I ended up with PPD and it sucked but tell your doctor if you think you get post partum depression. I never told my doctor because I was in denial. It lasted for 4 months when I decided to quit breastfeeding it went away completely.
