Pink discharge hours after cervix check

Doctor said I'm over 70% effaced, 2 cm dilated. Could the pink be from the check, or could it be the start of a bloody show? There wasn't much. That happened yesterday, today nothing when I wipe, but menstrual like cramping. My due date is on Friday.
