In June of last year I lost my baby boy at 21 weeks. We then got pregnant again in September, my doctors weren't sure why I lost my baby so when I got pregnant again the Mfm said that we would start Makena at 16 weeks and monitor my cervix every two weeks after that. Well I went in for my weekly check up on Monday and my cervix measured at 1.3cm she sent me to the hospital immediately for a rescue cerclage and I am now on modified bed rest. I am so worried and not sure what to expect with this cerclage. I've stopped spotting however I am still feeling crampy down there. Anyone else in a similar situation or have had an experience with cerclages ?? Any input would be appreciated.
