Gift for someone grieving

Any ideas on what to get an older man, 60s or so, and has lost 2 children and may be losing his 3rd to cancer soon and also has already lost his wife. I'm just looking for something that may cheer him up for a moment and make him forget his troubles without being obvious that it's for his losses. He's a farmer. He will have one more child left. Just a simple gift to brighten his day, I don't know him too way myself so it can't really be to personal
