Car seat expiration?

So I bought a car seat off of a yard sale page and I can't find the expiration date on it? I bought it when I was only 9 weeks pregnant and completely had no clue about anything baby (yes I didn't know car seats had an expiration so I didn't ask) there's a bunch of stickers that regular car seats have and some have been ripped off on it. The manufacture date is on there and it was made in July of 2011. How do I know if it's expired or should I just buy a brand new car seat?

Buy brand new. The car seat is the MOST IMPORTANT THING ur baby will be in. Their lives depend on it. U don't know if that car seat was in an accident or not, u don't know whose germs are all over it. No expiration date. Etc etc. Car seats,  unless they come from someone you not only know,  but trust as well,  they should be bought brand new

It should say expiration date in the same place.
 
I have a Chicco car seat.  There is a sticker on the bottom of the seat.  Photo below.

I also have a Graco.  Theirs doesn't list an expiration date outright.  I looked up the owners manual for my seat model (Snug CL 35) and included what the manual said (7 years max life from manufacture date).
