Wisdom tooth removal during pregnancy ?!?!

Has anyone needed to get their wisdom teeth removed during pregnancy? My bottom left one started poking through and now my jaw feels really sore. I'm terrified about having to have it removed since I'm only 13 weeks pregnant! My anxiety is through the roof!!!

My best friend had her wisdom teeth removed during pregnancy. I can't remember when it was during the pregnancy, but the main concern was more about how she would deal with the pain after the removal. If you go to a dental surgeon they will tell you about if and when they can do it along with how to deal with the pain after

I just had gum surgery because my gums were infected, I was 14 weeks (they said 2nd trimester is the best time to do it). It was tough because they don't put you to sleep and they aren't supposed to use novacaine with Epinephrine so the numbing stuff isn't as strong, I had a really rough time getting through the surgery but mine needed to be done. I consulted with both my OB and Oral Surgeon prior to making the decision. The surgery was last week, still healing. Good luck!

Hey. I'm not pregnant yet but I have 2 wisdom teeth coming through which I'm having removed soon. I've had them about 6 months now and I've found that heat can help, also baking soda mixed with water and put on the sore area really helps with the pain.
I hope you manage to get it sorted soon.

There is only a certain time to do it and I'm pretty sure it's your second trimester so you need to see your dentist asap. Also they will not be able to put you under just numb you and I believe there is less of a variety of medications they can give you for after. Hope this helps! I need mine out as well and some days they give me a migraine up the ass, but I'm choosing to wait until after birth but I understand that can't always be done! 😊

Update: so it's not the wisdom tooth that's the problem. I actually need a root canal on the tooth next to it 😩😩
