my 2 mo old has lip tie

Jules • 31 y.o. RN. Married. Mom to a lovely girl and adorable baby boy. I have 4 lovely cats. I love to read.
So my baby has a lip tie. Does he have to have it snipped? Has anyone ever nursed a baby with lip tie and not have any intervention? I breastfeed and pump at work.
