Newborn Huggies leaking???

First time mom here. Has anyone had this issue with Newborn Huggies leaking horribly or am I a novice and putting his diapers on incorrectly? My son is 6 days old and has been home for 2- we've had atleast 3 blowouts and mulitple soaked bottoms from pee. Any recommendations on a better newborn diaper or is my diapering technique off?
