Early delivery because of size of baby

Kristie

I'm 32+4. Had a u/s two days ago and my little man is head down. His head is at the very bottom of my uterus and his butt is clear up at the very top with his legs tucked under him. He is kinda sitting diagonal in there.

There is no doubt that he is going to be long. His daddy is tall and so am i.

Anyways, I was given a prednisone shot because I have the worst muscle pain in the left back side of my ribs. So horrible that I have almost been in tears a couple of times. My doctor said I have either ripped the muscle that surrounds my ribs on that lower side of my back or..... Baby is putting to much pressure on my organs that sit under him on that side.

Here is the thing, if I ripped my muscles back there then they can't do anything for me. Doctor's can't heal muscles.

If baby is in fact so big that he is putting pressure on those other organs that are on that left side, then that is a bigger concern. The biggest of all of those concerns is my spleen. which if it were to rupture, would be life threatening to me and baby.

Now there is talk about delivering him at 36 weeks. Nothing is set in stone yet. So my doctor didn't want me to worry to much about it but how can I not????

I will know more when I go back in 2 weeks.

Is anyone else being told that they might deliver early because of a big baby?
