Plan B

So last weekend i had sex w the person i'm talking to and he told me he pulled out in time and everything but he got me plan B just in case. I took it the next morning. I was just wondering if anybody knows how effective that is? I'm kind of nervous and i'm not on birth control or anything. I'm suppose to start my period in 5 days but he told me the pill might delay it.
