How many oz does your BF baby take from bottle?

We have introduced a bottle to baby girl who is 6 weeks old. She has taken to it pretty well, but she seems to be hungry still after the bottle. She had 3.5 oz today and she still seemed to be hungry after. We pace feed, which takes her a good 10-15 minutes.

I am going back to work in 6 weeks and would like to have an idea of how much she needs for each bottle so we aren't wasting milk.

I know she had about 3.2 oz a week ago when I went to the LC and she did a weighed feed, so I figured 3-3.5 oz would be enough.

My son drinks 4-5oz bottles. He only started drinking more than 4oz a couple weeks ago. He will be 6 months on the 12th.

Babies almost always drink more from a bottle than the breast because it's easier. And if you offer more, she'll likely take it but that doesn't necessarily mean she's hungry. My little guy is 4 months and does about 2 1/2-3 oz from a bottle.

Sounds like you already know! If you're worried about supply/stash you could give the daycare 2oz sizes and they could use more than one only when she wants it so they're not throwing out any milk.
