anal sex

My boyfriend and I have been together for 15 months, recently we've been talking about anal and we both agreed we would try it. Well now he doesn't want to at all, and of course I'm not gunna pressure him or anything but I spent money on lube and my feelings are hurt. He said he lied to me about wanting to try it to please me, honestly I would've just felt better if he would've told me no to begin with bc I wouldn't have had high hopes and been excited. Do I have a right to feel this way or??
