What are you doing with your other children when you go into labor?

My son will be a little of 2 when the baby is due. Was wondering what any of you mommas plans are for your other kids. Me and my fiance have been discussing it and can't come to a conclusion.

Im hoping to hold my pregnancy to the bitter end until my mom and aunt can fly from Hawaii to Louisiana(we are military stationed here in Louisiana). If anything we are sending the kids home to Hawaii for a while.

My brother in law and his wife will be watching kids. I am only ever gone for ten hours though so not too bad.

Omg yes we have discussed this too my baby will be 22months so almost 2. We have no family here because my husband is military so we are planning, mostly hoping we are able to get the baby sitter to stay w him for at least when I'm in labor and have the baby. And then planning to get discharged as soon as new baby is cleared and me so after the first night I hope we can go home.

Our daughter will be with the in-laws. She will be 16 months when that happens. They will come see me after the baby is born.

Ours are 6 and 3 both boys. Planning on my parents coming down from ohio to Tennessee (where we live) early so that they can stay with the boys while i am at the hospital. Or the boys could stay with their dad, we split custody (both boys from my previous marriage). This will be mine and my husbands first child together. So we shall see how things go. I was induced with both of my boys so easy to plan for family to arrive.

Mine are older at 9 and 7 yrs old, so we can't decide if we want them to come with us, with one or both of the grandmothers to help out and supervise them when I go for a c section  (will be my 3rd, probably unscheduled because I have a history of my water breaking around 37 weeks). Or if we want to drop them off with a grandma on our way to the hospital, and have them brought in after the baby is born. I know how excited the kids will be, and they are older and well behaved, but still we wonder if it will be a less stressful experience if they aren't there during labor. We're still thinking it over. If my kids were toddlers, I'd definitely want them to stay with a friend or relative until after the baby is born (or brought by a friend/relative and kept in the waiting room during the more intense moments).
