My husband vs Shawn Mendez
When my husband and I argue, we don't yell or anything. Instead we do our own thing for about an hour and then talk it out. He usually plays a video game and I put headphones in and listen to music.
When I'm upset, I listen to Shawn Mendez because he's got a great voice and I can sing along AND he's got that song "Treat You Better" and it makes me feel all empowered... like, YAAA, I DESERVE BETTER (I have the best already... my husband is great, I just like to be dramatic when blowing off steam and singing).
I told my husband about my Shawn Mendez therapy when we argue and now every time he comes on the music channel my husband slowly looks over at me with this face and says "Shawn Mendez wouldn't treat you better... he can't have you..." I can't help but laugh! 😂 It's a running joke now that Shawn Mendez is my backup husband when he's being difficult hahaha!
