Dental Assistant or Medical Assistant?

Im planning on going to a tech school, im 31 yrs old now. I want to have a much better job...right now im working on a retail store. My boyfriend is encouraging me to go to school and that really makes me feel good. He says he will pay my school, (true story) but now the thing is that i dont want him to spend money on something i cant do or not sure if i would like it. Im stuck in between Dental Assistant or Medical Assistant, i would like to hear some opinions or experiences on these job areas. 😅 Thank you in advance.

I'm a DA and I really enjoy it. I think the dentist and team you work with really makes a difference though. I was originally wanting to go to school for nursing but the only school around here for nursing only exception 15 students once a year and 400 apply. I don't regret going for DA though. Besides nursing being alot better pay that is.

I took a course for Medical Office & the pay is very low - now I'm thinking about going back to school so really look into everything first.

I use to be a DA and I agree with what other women are saying. Definitely do your research on both fields of work, as well as the offices, pay, and the reviews of the companies from Glassdoor.com.
When I was a DA, it was in a baby boomer town...🙄🙄🙄 enough said. I’ve been bitten 3 times on the fingers, from old people with dentures to younger people😂
It’s a very selfless job, but I would’ve liked to work in a different office, the office I was in felt like high school and there was drama etc.
