Why am I getting my period on birth control pill.

I've been on the active pills for a week now. This is my first pack. And now I'm starting my period? This early??The blood is pretty light and it's light pink/red. What the helllll is going on

The first three months you're on any birth control pill you can have bleeding at a time you typically wouldn't it's your body getting use to the hormones

All the hormones I guess? You're supposed to get your period the last week of pills but it depends

I've been on the pill for two years and I still get mine. Just a shorter period, with less blood, and way less painful cramps.
