Help! Anyone else have this problem with their dogs after being home a baby?

My dogs (all 3) were completely potty trained to use their doggy door before. Baby arrived and now they keep peeing in the house! Has anyone else had experience with this and how did you stop it l???

My dog went as far as peeing ON me. While I sleep.... on my hair, stomach, etc. I'm such a heavy sleeper I never noticed till morning. I think it's an attention thing because he never did it to my husband and in the one that takes care of the dogs. I did a complete doggie boot camp week and re-crate trained and potty trained and more strict rules (no sitting on furniture or in the kitchen, begging for food) took a while, he still was tinkling on the carpet for about three more weeks but when he did I would immediately send him to his crate for 30 minutes or an hour and clean up the pee. He got NO attention of any type for that behavior. Just a NO and "crate". We have two dogs so when I would send 'the pee monster' to his crate after a pee I would make it a point to give extra treats and attention to the other dog so he could see bad behavior isn't the way to get attention. I also invested in kongs for them when I'm feeling too tired for play time.

My husband would try to spank him (not hard at all) but he would yell and flip out and our dog would just pee so much more. I really think it's an attention thing.

I am no dog expert, but I know that children can go through the same. It is like some kind of stress and anxiety that gets out. I'm quite sure your dogs don't do it on purpose, as children don't do this on purpose. It's just being unsure how this changed relationship is going to be and once they find rest in it and know their place, they'll get better.

Might be feeling like they need to mark their territory maybe ?

My dog has been doing the same thing, baby isn't here yet, but I think he can tell that he'll be here soon. I have 7 days left... I think my dog is doing it because he wants attention... he thinks "bad attention is better than no attention "
