Co-sleeping?

How do you feel about it?

Everytime someone posts anything about co sleeping i always say I have a nursery for a reason. My son will sleep in his own room.

I did it with both my children, mainly because they were both c section babies and I couldn't keep getting up and down out of bed and I breast fed. It was so much easier just to have them in the bed with me and lay a boob over to feed them, plus I was so exhausted. Now they are 16 and 8 and it never hurt them.

My first slept in his crib BC he didn't like to be touched when sleeping. My second slept with me since birth and still at least twice a week and he's 11 (big baby). My third is 7 and has slept with us since birth and she has to sleep on either mine or Dad's arm or there is no sleep lol. Our bed is always full and we love it that way. I'm going on a field trip to Washington next month with my 11 year old for a week. I'm already having serious anxiety about leaving my daughter. Idk how I'm going to sleep without her.😧😰😨

I think it's quite dangerous I have 2 friends that lost their babies to co sleeping one of them had her baby a few months after me and I was co sleeping at the time due to c section and it hit me hard I could of lost him it hit my friend hard the results were inconclusive and she still blames herself, she put him in her bed after a feed and woke up to him blue and foam from his nose and mouth they arrested her  for it at first it was just he'll for her, the other friend postmortem was heat exhaustion and suffocation from her duvet she had her daughter taken from her she was arrested and had to go to court she had to fight for her daughter back it really screwed her up the court ruled it accidental death and she eventually got her daughter back but she is a changed person forever ..... its not worth the risk

My children will never sleep in my bed...I'm selfish like that lol I think co-sleeping is cool, some of my friends do it, but it's not for me. I haven't done extensive research on it because I haven't considered it as an option for me.

For the first month or so I slept in a basennet in my parents room. I think that is a good substitution

I had mine in a crib next to my bed for twenty days because I couldn't walk, back pain, but then I took her to her room.I don't think that the baby needs it.I was holding her in my arms all day.I thought she would enjoy her sleep better if she was on her own.you know my husband is snoring and I was in so much pain with my back so we would only annoy her.

Every time I read a post like this, I'm not sure if the poster means co-sleeping (sleeping in the same room as baby) or bed-sharing (having baby sleep in same bed as parents). Co-sleeping is great because if you're breastfeeding, the baby is nearby for feedings. Bed-sharing is dangerous and I wouldn't do it. Blankets can suffocate a baby and mom or dad could roll over and harm baby.
