nextplanon?

Just got the nextplanon today. Has anyone had this ? How did you like it? Any side effects?

I have it now for almost 2 months. I have a 7 week long period with only 7 days Oz no bleeding between :( so twice a month I get a full on period. I'm tempted to remove it in a few months

I overall loved when I had mine!

Pros of having mine
-Regular periods
-Never got pregnant or had any pregnancy scares
Cons
-sometimes the area where it was put in at hurt a little bit(I think it was in my head lol)

I had it for 2+ years and the only thing I liked about it was that I didn't have to remember to take a pill every day. I gained weight, had spotting SO often, had migraines, and actually only had it removed because I was becoming a surrogate for a friend of mine...(I'm 39+2, yay!) but when I went to have it removed the dr noticed that the muscle had started to grow around it... which made for a relatively painful extraction even with local anesthetic... I'm not sure how common that is, but my experience made me not want it again. It's different for everyone, though.

I loved it & had it for 3 years and had no period for 2 1/2 years of it. I was able to get pregnant within 3 months of taking it out. Only downside was decreased libido (probably from no period) and moodiness. I will get it again after this baby.

I had it for almost 3 years had it removed in November of 2015 and found out after I have 2 fibroids the size of golf balls on my uterus that where not there before. The dr said it most likely from the implant (nexplanon). Also a ectopic pregnancy that was not in my tubes but in my abdomen trying to attach to an organ or vessel. Doc said it isn't common at all for an ectopic like that. I have conceived since then and am 7 weeks now but took me over a year of it being out to succefullt conceive.

Yup I had it and loved it. Only downside was breakthrough bleeding. I had plenty of that after the first six months or so.  Still worth it for not having to remember to take a pill!!!! Would get it again in a heartbeat.
