When do you feels best for try for another baby? what's a good age gap?

My boy is 5.5 months old & im already wondering when is best to try for another baby. I feel if I have one sooner I can have more time off maternity leave with both babies & get to see them more. I just don't know what's best! What's your thoughts or advice?

My sister and I are three years. I think that's a good gap. 
My brother and sister are 5 years apart. Which means my brother and I 8 years apart. That's a little shitty, all my Mom's kids are grown and moved out except him. 8 more years until he's moved out which my Mom complains about a lot. So I say 2-3 years.

My husband and I knew we wanted more kids after our first. We wanted them to be ideally 2 years apart or around that time. We started trying when my son was 1, we are due June 20 which will mean our kids will be almost exactly 2 years apart my first was born June 18th. I think it's best when you feel it's best some people want to wait longer other have their kids back to back. However it's recommended to wait to let your body fully heal. :)

My brother and I are 17 months apart, my husband and his older sister are 18 months apart and him and his sister are 3&4 years older than their younger brother. My brother and I are super close, his sister and him are super close by him and his sister aren't very close with their brother. I want my son and whomever his sibling is to be close so I'm hoping that my husband kinda bends into having a baby within the next few months haha our son will be 6 months 10 days

My sisters & I were all 2 years apart & I think that was the perfect gap. We got along growing up because no one was too much older than the other & now that we are all grown, we are like best friends.

There's interesting research on age gaps between siblings you should read just for fun if you're interested! The easiest two spacing are very close (your older baby doesn't have a developed ego yet, and doesn't see the new baby changing the relationship he has with his parents when he is under a year or so old, so no sibling jealousy; but harder on the parents caring for two small babies), and 5 or more years (the older child is past the age where they will feel the new baby is taking their parents away from them- older sibling enjoys the responsibility of caring for baby sibling, and easier on the parents because the older child no longer needs as much hands on help). Of course spacing between siblings isn't going to mess a child up or anything, and you should do what's right for your family. I just think the studies are interesting!

If youre only reason is so you can have more mat leave then i say you should reevaluate and wait as that doesnt sound like a good reason to have another child but if you feel you can afford another child then go for it only you and your so know if its the right time

Everybody has different opinions on when to have another, me personally love having them close my oldest was 3 on Saturday, second is 18 months (18 months between them). Third is almost 7 months ( 11 months between 2 and 3). I'm 11+4 with number 4 (there'll be 13 months between 3 and 4)
