Just courious in case I ever have to do IVF,... How much have you spend? How is the price broke down?

Our meds were donated, so we saved $6,000 there. We'll be paying the $8,000 we owe for our retrieval cycle on Monday. (That doesn't include our blood labs or the saline ultrasound, either.)

I've spent $1300 in meds, $540 towards the doctor (which includes blood work and the ultrasounds) and then $2500 so far for the surgery center for the egg retrieval and transfer. And then $500 for the storage of our remaining embryos once we know the final number later this week. Thankfully insurance has helped paid a good amount along with FSA

$4900 fresh cycle. Plus we live 4 hours away so about $2000 for bloodwork and ultrasounds at a nearby hospital. $5000 for meds. FET is free at my clinic. Their monitoring is only $800 but I didn't want to take off work to be in NY for nearly 2 weeks. Plus we opted to do FET since it's free and has a slightly higher success rate.

Depends what country you're in hun. I live in Australia, so our cycles are somewhat covered by the government. Each fresh round at our clinic is 3000, including drugs. Frozen rounds are $1000, including drugs. Ive done 2 fresh and one frozen so far. Ive spent nearly $10000 in total.

Keep in mind my fresh transfer was cancelled and they gave me some discounts on freezing my embryos and my FET because the cost of IVF was suppose to include a transfer. Basically my point is it varies from woman to woman, and area. I'm in San Diego, CA. 100% cash pay, and I qualified for 25% off my IVF meds through a program called first steps. And I sourced my other medications through a discount fertility pharmacy.

Frozen Embryo Transfer Cycle - $4k
Medications for this cycle - $120 (much cheaper!)

And we have one more frozen embryo to transfer down the line, so that's another $4k.

We were just quoted 20k for an IVF cycle, though the most expensive part will be egg retrieval and genetic testing. Our problem has been recurrent loss, we've had 8 early miscarriages.
