I saw this car seat canopy set. I wonder if it's a waste of money or not.

While they are very cute, they aren't very safe. It can actually void out anything from the manufacturer of your car seat. If you would like a cute, safe cover; check out the canopies that Velcro to the handle

I'm amazed at how most of the original comments are educated facts about how this voids the warranty and is very unsafe for baby and people still are like " so cute I'm going to buy it".... like whaaaa!? That's one thing if people were like so cute BUT I didn't know it was unsafe therefore won't be purchasing... but nope ... blows my mind!!!

Definitely unsafe. There shouldn't be something padded like that between baby and the actual car seat. It can definitely void the warranty and if you were involved in an accident insurance might not even cover it if you were using the seat incorrectly.

No. They're unsafe and can alter the way the child fits in the seat. That material is also highly flammable, where car seats original materials are flame retardant. 
If you need a new cover for an old seat, order one from the manufacturer. They aren't expensive.

We got the whole set with our second and the inside part was ridiculously annoying. It constantly slid around, didn't fit the seat very well and generally was just a pain. I highly recommend the actual cover part though!

Aftermarket products that did not come with the seat are NOT safe. That's not an opinion that's a fact. Its disgusting how many people willingly put their children in danger and just don't care(not meant toward OP, but the commentwrs acting like its no big deal). Ignorance is one thing but apathy is ridiculous when it comes to children's safety. Smdh.
