screenings

So I received a packet from my OB to fill out before my first appointment and one of the forms was asking if we wanted to do screenings to see if there's a risk for Down's syndrome and such. I was expecting that but I was going over it with my husband and he shocked me by saying he didn't want to do it. And he is stuck on it. I just always wanted to know so we could plan and be prepared but he is not okay with doing it. How do you guys feel about it? I'm unsure now what to do
