extremely painful menstrual cycle

For the past few months, the firt day of my period is ALWAYS the worst. I mean, BAD!! TMI but I get diarrhea and end up vomitting for like 2 hours straight. Does this happen to anyone else?? Should I be having these symptoms and does anyone know if its normal! :( i feel like im doing something wrong
